Well here goes, this is my pride and joy, my 89 hatch #001282, made in Japan but not JDM. I named him Ugly Ed because he is made for rough play and abuse. Ed is not meant to be pretty at all. this is a guy's car built for a guy, me. If you don't like Ed, too bad, he doesn't like you either. anyway here goes.






























Ed in like most cases is an on going build, currently he is driveable, but has a long way to go. I will be adding more content as the days and weeks go by.
let me know what you think and of any issues/concerns that might come up.

I have some new parts on the way, PIC selects, new wheels and tires, skunk2 upper control arms, rebuilt steering rack and I also have ex knuckle setup in front now

f1spec seats and my own custom mounts, mostly stock B16

I love Chicago. born and raised. Chicago is great city but most of the streets suck,potholes Ed is basically just my nice day/ track/ street car. mostly just for the shear enjoyment of driving, no frills, no power anything, kind of car. the radio is there but I think Im going to take it out too, in the last 300+ or so miles, since start up, I have not had a desire to listen to music only the car and its noises. Also I'm looking for a roof plug.

how are you liking those Hankooks? I find them a very progressive tire...nice breakaway, not a sudden loss of traction. All in all I am really enjoying them!

 

from what I've driven on the Hankook's I like em, they are similar to Azenis rt615's and the come in 195/50r15. I haven't really pushed on them yet but I will soon.

 

looks kinda like my car.
