Default Just got back from the 1/4 mile track and I'm =)

Well you guys didn't think much of the last runs I made in the 1/8 mile but yesterdays results made me very happy and I think that they are pritty respectable for now...

I had 8 runs in for the day and it was about 90-100 degree day with virtually no wind so it was a hot motha, in fact inbetween one of the runs I went to change out my plugs so I popped the hood and all that engine heat hit my face and I almost passed out from it.. (I'm apperently not a very good sun person )

But my runs through out the whole day averaged from low 14's to low 15's and about 102 to 105 mph. I only hit 105 once and that was early in the morning when the weather was still bareable.

But my best run was this:

R/T: 1.214
60' 2.201
330 6.017
1/8 9.082
MPH 81.27
1000 11.680
1/4 13.880
MPH 102.89

I ended up running on 17" rims with Yoke A520's, gutted back interior, 12psi.
Most of the runns I put in the clutch was slipping really bad infact it would slip every time I upshifted, my 60' times were still pritty shitty through out the whole day ranging from 2.2 to 2.7 and its all because of my stock clutch I did try to slip it like you guys sead and it worked for me so I'm thankfull for that.
But I basicly did a 5500rpm slip and it was incredible the clutch slipped and the car just directly jumped into 10psi of boost and I just went from there.

The best part was to drive the car home for 3 hours afterwards with out braking my clutch so I'm happy about that!!!

Tell me what you think and I might post up some of the other times I had a little bit later on.....

12psi? tell me your motor isnt stock man. hehe 13.8 is not bad, considering you had your 17s on. next time at least run on some stocks or slicks. youll see your times drop considerably.

Your 2.2 60 ft time is pretty good on street tires. But it does seem like you are not consistent w/ 60 ft times from 2.2 to 2.7. Practice, practice and more practice

your car needs to be tuned. With 12 psi you should be making a higher mph.

You are very right about that, my frined was running 105 mph all day last year in a tuned integra with jr supercharger at 8psi...

The engine is basicly *** tuned or street tuned as some people call it but in one of the runs I thought I was running too rich so I went ahead and leaned it out a bit,
so than I make another pass and start getting lean pops. I drove back to the pit and pulled the plugs out to find them all white, upssss after that I richened it up a bit and I think a couple of runs after that one is where I hit the 13.80.

I would love to bolt up my 24.5x8's but my clutch is stock, that is the big thing thats stoping me in this whole battle. Right now my car is a bitch to launch because sometimes the clutch grips awsome and other times it slips really bad..

you really need to practice on your reaction time ,1.2*? if you get down to the.5**-.7** youll hit low 13's easy!
BTW, 13.88 is a good time for having a reaction time like that

ummm reaction time has NOTHING to do with the run.
its subtracted. its just for refrence.

i'm guessing since your using a in-line pro head gasket you had to of been running your car at IMSTAR on sunday. What class did you run in. You know you could push a hell of a lot more boost with their head gasket. If it was at MIR i hope you placed with those times. Good job, do you go to midnight madness at all.

Well I'm actually live in des moines Iowa and I was racing in iowa, but I would like to come up to the va area and race because the is a crap load of people running the inline pro setup, right now i'm still trying to figure out things with it but its mostly tuning that i'm having problems with sence the closest respectable dyno is about 2.5 hours away from home.
One of these days i will drive to KC and get it all dynoed up and ready to go but the biggest thing right now is my clutch thats giving me all the troubles, my launches are just test and trials right now and with that clutch its still impossible to say when its gona grip and when its gona slip...

I definitely need ore practice and a new clutch and flywheel.....

well nevermind then. Damn, i didn't realize that in-line pro was sending stuff out like that. I've never used their stuff, but i'm gonna get one of their head gasket's and then see what i can do too.

ok, much better times.. U need to get your eigth mile down to 8's and ur 60ft's down to 2.0's.. your mph is not abd, but it does not seem like enough for a turbo GSR @ 12psi. have u been to the dyno yet?

Chris,

I might go to the 1/8 mile strip this friday again if I can get my frinds 20.5 14" slicks or even the 15" 555r's and try to hit a high 8's depending on traction and the clutch condition at that point, I have tryed doing some 6000rpm slips but I end up spinning the crap out of those 17's so will see how it goes.

My mph is pritty slow for 12psi and even the one time I hit 105mph is still crapy.

I haven't dynoed it yet..
