My buddy put Neuspeed Race springs on Tokico HP blue shocks one time, HORRIBLE ride. He replaced them with Koni Sports

Tokico blues might not be able to take a stiff spring rate for a long period of time. Were you on stock springs?

I've really heard nothing good about the blues (no pun intended). Hopefully they have some sort of warranty so you can at least pay the difference to upgrade to illuminas (which has great reviews)...

and it's almost unreal how many people are running those very shocks with slip-on coilovers, race springs, slammed to the ground, etc. etc.

blues are great for a mild drop, however they can NOT handle a stiff spring or an extreme drop.

seems pretty consistent review that blues really do suck.

i use illuminas, love the versatility and the reasonable cost of them.

ppl wonder why i tell them blues suck. this thread just proves it.

i think part of the issue is the ppl who use blues are the ones who just want to pay as little as possible, and also use crappy, overly stiff coilovers or extra low spring kits, which blow the blues easier. but i think it also shows that the quality of the blues just arent the same as the illuminas.

the production of the blues are farmed out to their plant in china, hence "made in china" on all the blues you buy now. they used to be made in japan. illuminas are still made in japan.

Tyson pretty much said it all, all they are is a cheap stock OEM replacement that people feel better with.

I'd feel better using KYB GR-2 over the blues.

I had Blues w/H&R Sports on my 1998 Civic and handling was much improved over stock. Mine never blew, either. Maybe I was a lucky one.
