I'm gonna BLOW my car up....
OK. Not to long ago I posted a topic about my car acting up. Every time I try to give my car a little bit of throle it looses all power like I'm not even pushing the pedal in at all. I figured it was either the fuel filter or fuel pump so I replaced each of them to no avale. I have no idea what else it could be. I've asked a couple of people and they said to try replacing the ignition coil (don't know why this could be causing my problem) Does anyone here have any suggestions?
also does anyone know the error codes for my car? (96 civic EX)
Thanks for any help

The coil could be going bad. They aren't that expensive for a OEM replacement if you do the work youself. Give it a shot, if not keep troubleshooting tillyou get it.

Is the motor the factory motor or did you do a swap? What were you doing when it started acting up?
check your TPS sensor (throttle position sensor)
I had this problem, changed the coil and now it runs fine.
If you do decide to blow it up, take some photos

I do think it will come to that though.
I'm going to replace the coil and if I can find a TPS without having to buy the entire TB I will replace that also. Anyone know where I can get a TPS for a 96 Civic EX?
you can use any tps from most honda TB's. Im not sure where u can get just the TPS sensor but u might wanna check at a junkyard or check around for people who have them laying around. I looked around www.thepartstrader.com and got one for free.
The coil is inside the distributor, you wont miss it.

it's been on sence the last time my car was at the shop. I picked the car up early so the guy didn't have time to reset it and I'm to lazy to do it myself
