I've read on H/T that the power is good but the intake needs *work* before installing. Do you guys mean throttle to intake port matching and intake to cylinder head port matching or something more like cleaning up the internal casting?

WTF? Thanks for the bump but instead of wasting your keystrokes on my post why don't you stop and analyze my question concerning a NEW intake manifold that NOT MANY people have experience with?

put the intake manifold gasket on the intake lined up with the holes and you can see what you would need to do to port match it.
you can clean up any rough areas you can reach to also make the piece better.
if you have no experience with porting i would suggest taking it to someone who does or have someone show you. its not all about taking metal out you have to do this properly for best results.

I do this for a living, build engines and tune cars
... so if you so hands on why u asking here the obvious? anyone that knows here what to do to make it a perfect fit most likely didnt read it anywhere... they did it for themselves cause they know what to do and when to do it... btw take your engine to NeoH at least he knows what to do with it and your NEW 6 + month old style intake manifold

Oh so now you *know* people around me and you're from PR too?
So why don't you identify yourself instead of hiding behind your avatar?
If you are Christian of Neo2ning, you will know that I have sent MANY people your way to tune the chipped P28s that I sell and any thankful person would have posted something useful to assist someone helping him make money. But no sweat, it's cool - I'll just send them to other compentent tuners, most of who I know personally.
If you are not Christian, you should still identify yourself out of respect to another Boricua and offer constructive criticism dude - Mano cual es tu problema?
Most people who "know" someone else who shares their hobby offer assistance instead of useless criticism. But I guess you are of the type that prefers to keep his "knowledge" to himself like many of the so-called engine builders and tuners here in PR
I am not like that and if you frequent the forums on Carrito.net, you will see I always help my fellow "fiebru's".
As far as being an "old" intake, the B16 casting is pretty new and with all the threads saying the quality and fitment is iffy, I want to know what others are doing before installing it. I am not an engine builder but I know enough about port matching and don't need a *mechanic* or *tuner* to do it for me. If you read my post you will see I am more concerned with casting flaws.
Anyway, sorry to H/T for getting off topic

The runners are not off. If they fall within the gasket, that's how they are supposed to be. With a sand casting you naturally get core shift and to match the cylinder head perfectly you will always have to port match the intake to match.

check the pic I got in my last post... the 1st ones looked like the ones in the post i mentioned and most of the new castings have them "corrected" ones they do look "machined"
