ok, here is the deal. i am about to buy some new axels for my ride. i have a 88 dx crx. i have the 89 Si tranny in there. the right (pass.) side i need the new cup ( the part that goes inside the tranny, that the axles goes inside of.) i used the dx on that side because the bearings were different sizes. but whatever. if i buy complete axels for the 89 si. both cv joints on both ends already on. will the splines on the 89 si match up with the teeth on my 88 dx where the axels goes inside the brake houseing?( as in the outer end...) or are the # of splines different there from 88 to 89? please help.....

 

DX and SI axles are 26 spline regardless of year. HF are 23 spline.

 

your positive? so if i run 89 Si tranny and axels, they will fit into my 88 dx where the axels goes in by the wheel? and also, later on down the road, maybe a month or so. if i do the all wheel integra disk brakes, will the 89 Si axels fit in that too? thanks

 

THE ONLY DIFFERNCE IN SPLINE COUNT BETWEEN 88-91 IS that the 88 tranny's have a 21 spline count for the clutch and 89-91 have a 20 count. All axle's are interchangable except the hf. Hope this doesn't confuse anyone
