IS there a way? Technically, yes.

However, to make that work, I'm sure you'd need to fab up brackets. Are the rotors even the same size? I don't think it would be worth it IMO.

So many people are quick to dismiss things.

Mugen DC2 Active Gate Brakeset = OEM S2K Caliper

IF the Spoon S2K Monoblock uses the OEM mounting locations then it may bolt up to the DC2 knuckle.

Mugen evidently created a rotor to compensate for the S2K/Active caliper location so you may need to purchase those rotors to make them work. Mugen claims you have to have 16"+ wheels for clearance. Take offset into consideration too.

Just food for thought!

I'm going to call Honda/Advance Auto Parts/Vatozone, and get some prices on these tomorrow... It might be worth buying a set to see how/if they fit. And if not, I can always just return them.

I have 16" Circuit-10s, so clearence should not be a problem.

Since some are saying/showing it works... What does it take? Different brackets? Larger rotors?

i was just thinking, wouldn't this be overall better than the dc2 spoon block?

i mean, bigger rotors at least and bigger pads, so better clamping force?

You should be able to find the DC2 model for less then that.

Less flexing with the monoblocks...

Do the benefits outweigh the hassle?

On another note... apparently I have a set of active gates laying in the corner of my garage. $500 anyone?

I'm using the Spoon monoblocks (S2K size Spoon calipers) on my car at the moment. You dont need to modify the brackets, it will bolt up directly to your hub, however, you will need to use the Spoon oversized (300mm) rotors, I tried using regular S2000 rotors, but you will need to either shave down your hub or the inside of the rotor since the inner of the stock s2k rotors are too small.

Justin

here's a pic with 16" wheels (you will not be able to run 15" wheels anymore with this brake setup)

In case you guys are curious, this can be made to fit civics/integras as well.

The Mugen calipers over the 11.8" rotor, just replace the caliper with the Spoon monoblock ones.

P.S. Anyone wants these calipers and/or rotors, PM me.
