It's a 1G. 2G should be similar.

all i did was put the battery in the back passenger corner of the car. ran it length wise with the car, trimed the interior a little. find a good place to ground it ( no water or any other type of interferances. and then run a power line from the back to the front. i used all 4ga. wires and connectors. when the power line gets to the front get a non-fused (solid block) distribution block.( one-4ga inlet, two-8ga outlet.)i have a fused one and kept blowing the fuse in the section for the wire to the starter. run the power line into it. then run the one wire for your starter out of it, and the other one that goes to the fuse box out of it. and also make sure you have some type of wire attached to your starter that is grounded to where the battery tray used to be, otherwise your car won't crank, just click. and i bought some battery tie bars and cover from the auto parts place, like $13 total. drilled two holes, one on each side of the battery through the bottom of the car, ran the bars down through them and tightened them up, so the battery is in there tight and will not move. look into getting a sealed battery or some type of ventalation. battery gases..not safe.....good luck. i love how open and clean it made my engine bay look. having the vtec helps too!!!!!

Get a U1 sealed battery. It's for lawnmowers/wheelchairs. It's smaller and lighter. You could ground the battery using the spare tire wheel metal bridge (where the jack goes under), just be sure to grind to bare metal. HTH, Overkll

Can you open the battery ANYWHERE (sealed batteries have NO openings for maintenance, so they can't spill even when upside down)? Your stock battery won't cut it unless you get a battery box. You can ground the battery ANYWHERE to the chassis, as long as you GRIND to bare metal. If you're not sure how to do it, DO NOT do it. You'll end up with lotsa' holes, wire, and a car that won't start. HTH, Overkll
