ITR & s2000 Opinions
I am an ex-owner of a Ap1 S2000.
and Currently i own a 00-842 ITR with only 57,000kms.
my honest problem with itr is that
the fact that ITR is only an Integra with no baller status no matter how much u try.
Every once in awhile i am so craving for a convertible
but when I sit on s2000 again and drive it around.
I feel it no more since im hyped-R already.
It seems like if i let my ITR go now,
i'll never ever get the same condition itr in my life
And gotta spend extra 10g to buy a S2000.
and If i keep ITR. I will have a unique and nice ride
but no status no convertible.
Its really Up to ME what i do with my car and my money.
but what would you do?
Keep the ITR and do some Final tuning and call it a day with 10G in ur pocket to tune the ITR.

or sell it and buy S2000?

Yup.
If you have the theft problems we do here, or you DD the R a lot of miles, consider what we do here: Get a beater for DD / rain / snow / etc, and save the R for fun times. Helps on insurance too, since the R becomes pleasure status.
Other thing is that the S2K has no room to haul any passengers or cargo. Not that you really would, but it's still nice to have the option.
If by baller status, you mean to impress boss / clients / girls, then s2K is a bit more 'mature'. R is often considered 'juvenile' by non-enthusiasts, but if you can afford to not give a flop, then R is a better / more fun car.
Personally, I'd keep the R and buy a house or invest with the 10K saved.
Also, 'beater' could be a used Legend / other. Does not have to be an auto Civic with dents and faded paint.

Baller status? lol
If that matters to you then buy a S2k. Myself, I loved the R so much I chose it over a S2k. Not to mention it rains a heck of a lot here and I like to have some space to carry around my hockey gear. I'm a little more practical and insurance for the R and the S2k is roughly the same. One of my buddies drives an AP1 and I get to drive it A LOT and he's even willing to swap cars once in a while but still I love the R.
You can also save that 10gs for a house or something because property is brutal in the lower mainland and it doesn't look like it will go down anytime soon.

keep the ITR... at the end of the day, enjoying the ride is more important than the status...
"It's not how you stand by your car, it's how you race your car" suddenly seems a pretty appropriate quote :S
hahaha
if you want less juvenile status from the R, get a second hatch, without a wing... that way you can still use the functional rear wing when you choose to, but won't get the racer-status when you're daily driving it...
Honda/Acura will never give you true baller status... even though they may be better cars than 90% out there, they're just Hondas at the end of the day... even the NSX!

i think this is more feasable than you think....
so, is your R paid for?
Do you have 10 grand for a down payment? or to tune the itr?
Am i reading that correctly?
If so, 00-01 s2000's can be found in the low $14k range and maybe even lower if you look hard enough.....
the may have quite a few miles on them, but they are just like every other honda....
if well maintained they can last for many miles and years....
save up a little more cash so you can have both

If thats really important get the S2000. All the 50-somethings I see driving S2Ks don't really make me think "baller".
Just save your money, put the R away and get a cheap S2K.

Your asking this question in an ITR forum Albert, what responses do you think youre gonna end up with?
If you need people to answer your questions for you at least ask in a forum where you wont get biased opinions.

Having owned both:
S2K: Fun little car, nice to have top down and RWD so fun in the rain. Handles pretty decent, but bottom end SUCKS (AP1) And yes, if your into "pleasing" the ladies they will like the S more
ITR: Raw, roomy (by comparison) always fun to drive, handles on rails, out brakes most with little to no upgrades...
I had the ITR('s) first, then the AP1. While the S is a fun car to drive, it doesn't make a very practical DD car. You can't fit **** in that car. Now, if the S was just a toy and driven whenever you pleased it would be a different story all together. I prefer the powerband in the ITR, the handling and the elitist ****** on this board. Not to mention, moding an S is way expensive!!!!
