89 D series CRX SI turbo install (lots of pics)
Whats up guys, first ill introduce myself, my name is Carlos and some people on here already know me.
Okay now this is the first install i do all by myself and the car belongs to my friend alex its a 89 crx si with its stock engine, although some internal work has been done to it, i know pistons and cam are not stock but ill get specifics from alex and then post em up.
Now he bought a used XS kit from a guy for a really good price so he got it.
Ill post pics of all the parts and the process as i go and any help would be appreciated.
Im also using the very helpful write up from Emshhh on here ~> https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1263795
good and bad comments welcome.
now some pics
the patient:
before engine shots
and my best helper my daughter lol
the kit and some new parts he got like the battery relocation kit, boost controler and turbo timer
some extra bolts, fittings, clamps and gaskets the guy gave us.
also already bought an eg half size radiator since the crx one wont fit.
and the tools that will get the job done
okay so i started today by removing the short ram intake and stock intake box that goes under the bumper, header, draining and removing the radiator, removed battery and front bumper.
then i bolted up the turbo, manifold and down pipe to make sure the down pipe would work, and it did i also bolted the intake piping.
intake pipes are perfect so far i hope i have enough of the 45 degree bends to complete it all
Now hopefully the boost and oil pressure guages will be here tomorrow.
Then it got dark and started raining so i had to run and pack evrything up, but at least i got a litle done for today in 2 hours
I will update as i go and again if you see that im missing anything please tell me

It should fit if you give it a gangster lean. Well, depending on how your pipes are routed anyways.
