I was running Castrol Syn 10w30, but noticed my oil pressure was a little on the low side after warm up. Switched to 10w40 and now the oil pressure is much better at idle.

I run bardahl 5w30... Thank god to our sponsers because at 17 dollars a quart our family would be eating mac and cheese

but any top end "blend" or OEM Blend seems to work great too.

interesting, but thats a pretty ignorant comment. I've ran 5w30 for over 2 years and many many trips to 10500 rpms (600+ hp)and have never had a problem, in all of my cars.

I also tried mobil 15w50 full synthetic before i siwtched back to castrol syntec 10w30. The 15w50 was way too thick for my liking. It had alot of valve train noise on startup. Too much for my liking. I used it when it was 70+ out too.

Valvoline 20w50 is what I use. I've read that the ingrediants that make an oil multiviscosity are what makes a oil have a low coking point and that single viscosity is better for turbos without water cooling.

i am running Valvoline Racing syn 10-40 now but was running the non syn racing 10-40 only switched cause needed and oil change and ran out of the non syn. Both are rated non street legal due to both having zinc and other friction reducers.
