Default Convertible Prelude!?!

I found these pics of Convertible Preludes. They were made by two companies supposedly: Tropic Design and Honda-Autohaus Manfred Ernst, which are both German companies. Although they were made in Germany, Almost all of them were exported to either the US or Japan.

I was wondering if anyone knew if the convertible top mechanisms that were used came off of some other car or if they were custom made for the preludes? Either way, they are pretty interesting...

1st Generation Convertible: 47 were made.

2nd Generation Convertible: 100 were made.

4th Generation Convertible: 15 were made.

Man, Im going to have to disagree with all of you. I think it compliments the body lines. I'd rock it.

How does that lump of top resting on the back "complement" the body lines? A convertible needs a longer trunk, if you took out the back seats and stowed the top back there it would work.

The convertible 350z looks weird for the same reason.

The fact that those wheels suck *** and that car isn't lowered isn't helping.....

+1, I'd imagine a targa top model would look better.

I havent come accross any pics with the top up yet. I have saved a pic on my other computer which is a yellow 5th gen prelude convertible side view and it looks pretty cool but i am unsure if it is a real car or just a photoshopped pic. Once i get back to my house (im in vegas right now) i will post this pic.

Im sure there are more pics of these convertibles around because they were mostly sold in the use so if anyone can find any more pics, please share em, thanks.
