1) You don't need an intercooler designed for a skyline, I hate seeing ginormous intercoolers.
2) Get a good tune from a reputable tuner.
3) Run crome, neptune or something.

ahh yes, forgot about that, i will either be running a greddy bluebox, or a p28 w/s200. i just dont know if the s200 has the boost option and if it doesnt could i just use a missing link?

and for the intercooler i was thinking just a 25x6x2.5

Go sleeper status and custom fit a DSM or WRX style Intercooler down by the wheel well.

-Or-

I dont remmeber what company makes this, but therse a direct OEM style Intercooler that replaces the A\C Radiator, and looks JUST like it, but is actually an intercooler. Ill search and see if i can find it again.

Id skip on the Greddy bluebox or missing link.

I would do a an OBD2-OBD1 Conversion harness w/ a P28 ecu chipped w/ Crome. It is a hell of a lot easier to use, and cheaper.

What kind of exhaust will you be using?

Internal or external WG?

The most important thing you need to remember/know is to get tuned! Your entire setup is worth nothing without it.

well i have a p28 socketed for hondata could i get it converted to crome? (dont know alot about tuning)

its an internal wastgate

exhaust is going to be a 2.5'' kteller d/p, no cat, 2.5'' maybe 3'' (&lt;which would be better?) all the way back to a box style muffler.

sell the socketed hondata ecu its worht money and go biuy another p28 from a junkyard,

i dont like neptune they are a little expesnive, crome or uber kickass ***, convert to obd1

skip on the side mount intercoolers or top mounts they just turn into heat sinks if you really want it to be a sleeper go buy some radiator paint

Yes, you can send your ECU to a tuner and have them convert it to Crome. I like Crome a lot more, and is so much cheaper.

An internal WG is alright, but if you are going to be looking for real power at some point, that internal will have to go. It just doesnt stabilize pressure as well as an External and can cause serious boost spike.

For your exhaust, I would skip the 2.5" and go right to 3" all the way back. Unless you already have the 2.5" DP, I would keep it and run a 3" exhaust from Kteller.

I'm somewhat in the beginning stages of installing a turbo for my D16Y8, only has 40K miles on it. I've been doing some research on forums and other sites regarding turbos. I've seen a few complete turbo kits, one such as made by Edelbrock, get around 6-7psi without changing interns. I've noticed some prefer buying components seperately. Is there a difference, complete sets vs individual parts? </TD></TR></TABLE>

way to hijack someone else's thread

Word.

1) If you DID research, you will know the difference.
2) You cant just come in a Hijack someone's thread.
3) Just no.

Research, and note the differences. If you still have questions, come back and make your own thread.

haha thanks guys,

i will already have a the 2.5 kteller d/p so i should just run 3" after that?

also i probably will have this ecu converted to crome.

as for the wastegate, im just looking for a little over 200 hp. would the internal wastegate be an issue?

for 200whp an internal wastegate will be fine.

Sounds cooler imo

If you intend to do a mild build: valves, retainers, headstuds, etc. Then you'll want an extrenal wastegate for safety reasons and a 3" exhaust will really open it up.

My friend anthony in PHX is running 550whp on his d-series, 32psi sleeved etc etc and he's got a 3.25" exhaust with 2-36" resonators.

Bitch is silent. Never imagined that purple hatch would run 10's.

as of right now i have a crower stage 2 cam with crower springs and ti retainers. not real sure if ill be able to run that cam tho since it is an NA cam. but plan on leaving the springs and retainers alone if i do put the stock cam back.

As Ek forever guy said, an internal wg will be fine w/ 200whp. I was just saying as you want more power, you're gonna want to run an external.

Ok, since you have the 2.5" DP, just run 3" exhaust and it will sound very pleasant...this is what i have currently until i upgrade to a 3" DP

i have the same setup but with a external wastegate welded to the cast iron manifold, and welded shut the internal on the turbo..but 200whp should be fine with that set-up.

That's a perfect sized intercooler for your car.

I would definitely jump on that deal...perfect height, width, length. Good find
