Default My new cluster.

This is the latest entry in my messing around with clusters in my EF. I think this is my favorite so far. Let me know what you think.

The process is actually fairly involved and very time consuming. It took me over three hours to correctly color this cluster with no imperfections. Some people would guess using a sharpie, but this doesn't work because it is almost impossible to get an even stroke of color with a sharpie or any other marker. To get the even coloring like I did is what took so long.

As much I would like to provide a write-up, I can't. Seriously, it is a really long and involved process. I went through about two clusters before this trying to get it right. This requires applying a whole new color to the gauge cluster faces that, if screwed up, is not reverseable. That is why I have gone through two clusters perfecting the process. But I have perfected this process and have actually since then done this same mod to a few local guys in the chicago area for what I consider a resonable price for the labor and time it takes me to do this.

I wanted to make something that would look different than all the other clusters out there with amber bulbs or red needles. Whereas in the past when I attempted to convert my clusters to amber I was trying to emulate the Integra Type R clusters, with this version I was trying to emulate the NSX-R which has the gauges colored and backlit amber.

OMG, that cluster reminds me of my old 1986 prelude and 86 crx, they had the same orange look like that. They are ok, but look a little on the dated side imo.

VERY VERY NICE work! I think this is a great way to do amber clusters, Since us DA and EF guys don't have many options when it comes to clusters.

You can swap just about any cluster from other Honda cars...

That is not what i mean when i say cluster options. Take the EK civic or example. You start off with an EX. there are tons of cluster you can get, such as SI cluster, SIR cluster, Type R cluster, Mugen Cluster, Spoon Cluster.

I did not mean swapping clusters. I know it can be done, i've done it.

so wait did i read this wrong or did the OP post up his cluster, then told us what not to use...then it turns out he hasn't said the materials he used, but now it states that he's does this for cash...sorry but that sounds like some BS that should go into the marketplace or the apperance forum...where is the tech?????
but if i read it wrong my apologies. But still...nice clusters
