B16 in DA...motor crooked...what mounts?
Well my friend has had his b16 in his DA for about a year now, and the motor had always sat crooked..leaning. The shop that did it said they didnt have the right mounts made yet for b16 in a DA so in order for the motor to sit straight he would have to use washers??!! Sorry but that sounds super ghetto to me... He has been having axle problems and I think this is why..what mounts is he suppose to have and could this be causing the axle problem too?? thanks
here's a pic...
(i have no idea what mounts they used)

u should be able to use the stock mounts that came with the OG motor. However the cable tranny is different form the hydro tranny, and that could be your problem.

exactly. its already got a B series.. you use the same mounts. The shop that did that are friggin idiots.

And to answer your question, yes this will definitely cause the axles problem. Get a 5 speed tranny mount. Also please don't take it back to that shop. Any shop "should" know that this will cause problem to the car.
oo i didn't take it to the shop...my friend lives in CA and i live in OR...but thanks for the help when i see him we are going to put in the new mount
sorry to bring this thread back but.. I am in the middle of an ls swap with a gsr hydro tranny into my 92 hatch. I bought innovative mounts for a 92-95 with hydro b series swap. I just got the mounts bolted up and it is sitting the same way as the picture above. I did a VIN # check and my car has always been a manual car. Was i sent an automatic passenger side mount?
A friend once told that auto and manuel chasis have different mounting points on the tranny side. So even with the 5sp mounts, it will still sit even.
