Hey guys, i was jsut wondering what would be the best year to get for the type r's. Whats good and bad about each year and what would you suggest buying, im looking in to getting one

 

97-98 ITR got the bad *** paint color. But no A/C (optional)
00-01 Got bigger lobe cams.

2001 model year ITR, last year of production and they got it right.

All years were good, however since 2001 the last year of production it will not be one upped.

 

Doesn't matter what year you get you will love it.

Oh yea, the 2000/2001 also came with a rear windshield wiper, depending on what your into, that can be good or bad.

Chris, who thought that A/C only became standard on the 2000/2001's.

 

Not sure where you're gettin your info... A/C was NOT standard equiptment till 00/01.

Everyone knows WHITE is the fastest color... those of you who keep saying it's black need to brush up on your physics. Why do you think most commercial airplanes are painted white?

 

But everyone knows that PY has 30wph more in 01!

 

Now, are you saying that b/c airplanes fly much higher in the atmosphere or b/c McLaren and Minardi aren't keeping up with the red cars so far this year?

'98 also had the rear wiper standard. It's good for an extra 5 hp!

they are all good

 

It doesn't matter what year the car is. The point is it's a type-R and that alone is worth every cent.
