Default Euro R Intake mani questions

Are the - Throttle Position Sensor and Fast Idle Thermo Valve from any other vehicles compatible?

I may need to replace them and want to know where to find them.

Is the Throttle Body the same as the standard USDM H22a1 or H22a4 throttle body?

Just in case I named the Fast Idle Valve incorrectly.

That is what it is called correct?

.idle air control valve is what i belive the abreviation stands for and if need be i know you can either delete the IACV or buy/make an adapter plate for a US one to fit. those are the only options i have found. good luck, Joe.

Thanks - any info on where to get this adapter plate?

Delete the IACV? Won't that mess up your idle completely?

Also anyone know the Stock Throttle Body size on the Euro R?

u can delete the fast idle. You cant delete the iacv completely without a script for it.

Right on - the one I am talking about is the fast idle and it can be deleted?

The IACV is on the other side of the mani and is required correct?

That makes scense. Thanks Blake

What do you mean by a "script"?

I think he means script in whatever you're tuning with, i.e. crome, hondata...

the t.b. isn't the same as a usdm one, if you bolt the usdm t.b. on the euro-r the fast idle port on the usdm t.b. overlaps the casting and will cause a leak. Its not much though, you could get by using a little hondabond. The s2000 t.b. bolts up great, I have a few pics of it at home that shows a comparison.

I think you can install one, the hole is there it just isn't tapped or drilled through. It takes an M10 X .75 tap.

Rosko's right.

It should not be any trouble with a drill, tap, vacuum hose and a needle valve. The idle air screw is only a controlled vacuum leak. Everyone seems to have problems with uncontrolled Vac leaks. If you make one intentionally it should not be hard.

You can also use a USDM ITR throttle body or a B16 t-b with no probs

So what about just changine the TPS with a JDM H22a one? Are they the same? I will probably have to drill and tap holes correct?

The TPS on the Euro R I just bought needs to be replaced.

Also the seller says the Fast idle is junk as well.

ahh, you shouldn't have to tap anything. its a screw that holds it on there, just a tamperproof head. you just have to grind the head off, remove the tps, and unscrew the rest of the screw. do that to both t.b.'s and find some new screws to mount the tps and then be sure to calibrate it.

I'm not sure if the Euro-R iacv incorporates the fast idle or not, looks like it could. either way your gonna have ditch that iacv cuz the plug is different (3-wire vs 2-wire)

get an adapter plate and use the usdm iacv or just block it off altogether. don't worry about the fast idle either, its not needed.

if all that tb needs is a tps then fix it and use it. yank those hoses off there and cap it off, block off the iacv and your good to go.

I don't know anything about crome but I'm sure Blake could tell ya. (I'm guessing you can tho)
