Default Bad Gas Mileage

I have a 2000 Gsr with intake and exhaust with 2.5 pipe. I get about 190 miles to a tank. What do i have to change to get better mileage? 4000 rpm at the speed of 70 normal?

what was your milage like before your mods?

I have a '96 GSR and I fill up at about 300-315 on my tank and that's with almost 3 gallons left. You should be ale to get 30-34mph (depending on how much you're on the throttle and how much of it is service streets or highway). My car at 70 is only about 300 rpm, I can go 80 in 5th (obviously) and I'm only at 4000 rpm's

I bought the car like that and had to get the tranny rebuilt and added a type r diff and it's running with red line tranny fluid if it's good or not. I just changed my spark plugs and wondering if that would make a difference. I'm pretty sure I have a gsr tran but it feels like I have shorter gears, any ideas? thanks

Yeah I drive about 120miles every day on the highway. At 80mph I am right at 4,000rpms.

As far as gas, I average 29-31mpg usually and that is mostly highway driving. I usually fill up at about 300-320 miles on the tank and that usually takes about 10 gallons or so to fill up the tank

You did mean 3000... right?

190.. that's pretty bad. Even a turbo Teg can get better milege. Obvisiouly something is acting up. Dose the car drive diffrent? How do you drive your car... redline etc...? On my 94 Gs-R it was running 80 at 3,900 and my 98 is running 80 at 4,000. They both reach 300+ easily. Time for a tune-up?

Cap, Rotor, Distributor, Plugs, Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Check o2 Sensors and tire Pressure as well as any ecu codes, check to see if your cat is clogged also. And if your wires are real old might want to replace them too.
