Default swaping b18c5 into 92 dx ?

how hard is it to swap an obd2 engine into obd1 car. what wire harness do i need. i would like to use an obd1 with the b18c5 ingine because it's better for tuning. do i need to change the cx hubs to fit the integra axles. could someone give me a complete shopping list for this swap.
thanks,

use a 94 up gsr harness, almost plug n play, you still have to wire up the knock sensor, your car is already wired for vtec, if you get a chipped p28 it will be plug n play, your hubs will be fine

your hubs will be fine
the hubs are fine if you use the US type R axles. The JDM type R axles have a larger spline. You just need to get the US b series axles and you will be fine with those.

You should use an OBDII harness with the OBDII motor if you are keeping all the components under the hood as OBDII. I have a 99 B18C1 in my 92 VX and the motor is all OBDII including the engine harness but it's runs on a 95 P72 OBDI ecu. Any harness whether it is OBDI or OBDII will plug up to the cabin harness in a 92-95 Civic. You could run a similar type of setup like I have, excpet use a chipped P28 ecu to run the motor.

so i can only use OBD1 unless i get converter harness from skunk2? but for the engine harness, obd1 or obd2 will plug into the harness of the cabin? why can't i use obd1 engine harness on obd2 engine? just asking because it might be hard to find obd2 engine harness( i thinking about getting JDM b18c5 which i will need US harness). what sensor will i loose if i use obd1 engine harness on obd2 engine. there is no emission regulation where i live as long as you have a cat.

In order to use the OBDII ecu you will need a conversion harness. Now as for the engine harness, you can use either an OBDI or OBDII but here's the catch: If you use an OBDI harness the distributor and injector plugs won't match, so you would need to use OBDI parts in their place or get some OBDII plugs for those parts and repin them. Picking up an OBDII harness shouldn't be hard because it's not like you need an OBDII Integra Type-R harness. You could use one from any Civic/Integra from 96-00 then just add the necessary wires. Most swaps you buy come with an engine harness whether it's cut or full. If it's JDM or if it's cut, you could use your stock engine harness and use the one that comes with the swap for the necessary plugs and extra wire.

Rice: Get an OBD1 P-72 GSR ecu for your car. It is a plug and play ecu. The obd2 ecu needs a different plug than your obd1 car has. I have a 98 gsr motor on my obd1 hatch. The biggest difference is that the obd1 ecu will nnot look for the second o2 sensor. Just get yourself an obd1 P-72. If you cannot, I have a JDM obd1 P-72 for sale. Ill sell it for 250 plus shipping if you want.
