Need help on how to replace a wheelbearing on a 00 Accord
Hey guys, I think one of my front bearings on my 4cyl 2000 6th gen Accord is on its way out, I was wondering if there was an FAQ on how to replace it
I also had a few questions:
Is the front bearing, a sealed hub unit, or is it something that would have to be pressed into the hub?
What replacement parts would I need, just the bearings?
Do I need to take the steering knuckle off, and if I do have to, will the car have to be aligned after.
Sorry for the dumb questions guys, But I would really appreciate it if you could help me please

It needs to be pressed into the knuckle and hub.

A small gear puller works just wonderful. Or a big hammer if you hit the knuckle just right...
If you mangle the big axle nut, get a new one of those.
If any of your wheel studs are questionable, this is a good opportunity to replace them.
Any brake parts, since you'll have to remove the caliper?

If you separate the balljoints at their tapered studs, then you will not need an alignment.
OTOH, maybe it's a good excuse for an alignment if your last one was years ago?

would anyone be kind enough to have pictures, or a DIY of this, I know everything uptil getting the rotor off, but I cant picture how to get the steering knuckle off
Take off the big axle nut. Take off the rotor, then you'll see the hub (#3).

The steering knuckle is in the middle of this next picture, #1 or 2. Separate the upper & lower balljoints, and the little balljoint for steering. As you take the knuckle out, push the axle stub out of the hub so you don't pull it out of the tranny.

The wheelbearing will still be there, with the hub. Take this to a shop who can press bearings.
They'll press the hub out from the wheel bearing (#2 in the top drawing). Then they'll remove the lock ring (#21) & press the bearing out from the knuckle.
