Well... the b series is going to have more potential in stock form. If you want to spend the least, boost the D series. If you want to have more power in the end, I would swap and then buy a turbo later on. IMO, now I do understand there are a lot of strong D series but they are for the most part built.

It's really up to you. If you want a reliable boosted car, you will have to pay a good amount of money to do it, chipping the ECU, dyno tuning, rebuilding engine/stock interval replacement with aftermarket pieces...

On the other hand, swapping an engine is a bit more money, so if you're on a budget, then go with boosting.

They say you can make 225whp on stock internals, i dont know exactly how much they are boostin' , but i do know that is on a tune.

Youre gonna have to tune it. Its always best anyway otherwise your car wont perform to its potential.
But seriously go with the B-series and save up for a turbo. Thats prolly the best thing to do. Youll thank yourself later on.

Uhh... wtf are YOU talking about?? There are so many stock LS engines putting down 300 whp with no problems... and all they have is a $2500-$3000 turbo kit and thats with reliable parts...

I think you may have misunderstood me, thats why you edited your post, and I still don't think you get it.

All I said what that if he wants to get a bunch of power in the end to boost a B series and get 300 whp, if he wants to get a decent amound, boost a D and get 220 hp.

Boost it.

Drive it.

Get tired of it.

EBay it.

Be happy.
