Sisters fiance's PY R was stolen in Lincolwood IL on Febuary 20th between 3AM and 6AM. It was parked in front of his apartment by drivers image. He was the first owner since 2000. He seemed devistaded when i was talking to him. Oh and he also had a basic viper alarm system from back then. Hes not part of the forum but I thought I put it up so everyone can look out for it. It was completely stock except for the Kenwood DVD player. Ill keep everyone updated. Every1 in the chicago area watch out for hondas and R's

Car was found. Sisters finance was too sad to take pics at that moment. Engine and audio setup gone. Everything else is still there. There was another CW Type R found with sis fiances Type R at the same lot. Insurance company was real kool about it! No damage to the body. The bad thing is that an 00 Civic Si was stolen near the same area according to the cops. Now they know a loser is out there targeting Honda's. If hes ever caught hell prolly serve jail time for a lousy 3 weeks. Should be more like 30 years. Hes now really wanting to drop in a JDM K20A R engine asap with insurance money!! woot woot. Thanks everyone for looking out!

UPDATE!!
Good news! PUNKS CAUGHT!!! They tried to steal a GSR and got caught by the owner. dudes in their mid twenties. Officer told my sisters fiance. He was contacted to identify some parts to see if they were his but nothing good came up.
Bad news is when sisters finace asked the cop how long they going to serve, officer replied maybe couple weeks or even months behind bars with community service, supervision and big fine. It really sucks to know that theives are only serving the minimum. Thats why they prolly dont even care if they are caught!! Anyways, every R owner needs a good alarm, layers and GPS!!!

~By the way his K20A motor is comming from Japan soon!!

the cop my sisters fiance talked to said that this is the second Type R stolen in the same area. The first one was a white he says. The cop thinks that theres a loser specifically tagerting R owners. THEIVES ARE GAY. We need bait Type R's. Have you guys heard of Baitcars.com?? check it out, itll help you feel better!

 

It just amazes me to see how well organized these thieves are. That tells me they're in here lurking, prowling the streets,...I mean think about it, we have got to start thinking like thieves to protect our cars! This getting beyond stupid!!! Sure seems to be alot of this going on in the New England areas. Everytime I see another of these posts I keep thinking one, just one day, some thief or thieves are gonna get shot! If they did that a few times w/ some R's or some really tricked out Tegs, I think it would start to make them think twice.

 

I totally agree! If i was a theif I would have second thoughts. Hey, maybe it is bait maybe its not. Its a great deterrent. I really wouldnt mind paying a little extra in tax for the government to run such programs!
