Default Installed RBC intake manifold on my 04 type-s, some pics.

I installed this RBC manifold about 2 weeks ago. For those that dont know this is the 06-07 Si Intake manifold, and the Accord Euro R Intake manifold. I got the manifold from: Honda RBC Intake Manifold, for 300 shipped. To install it some of the manifold has to be cut, and a throttle body adapter peice to put the stock type-s throttle body on. The adapter plate is needed because the Manifold is setup for a Drive by wire throttle body. I used the Karcepts adapter plate that is available on the above site. I also installed a hondata intake manifold gasket, and relocated battery to trunk to run new intake and Velocity Stack. I also made custom inline filter for the velocity stack....Here are some pics.

This is the part that needs to be cut off, to be used on the type-s

Before:

After:

As for any performance gains, the throttle response is amazing, and top end pulls very hard compared to before. The motor revs easily to 8300 rpm now, before it felt like it was straining. I havent ran it at the track yet plan on going this nest sunday, But with the old manifold on I ran 14.6 at 99 mph at Bradenton Motorsports Park on street tires. I have other mods as well. Thanx for looking and if there are any questions let me know.

Did you get just the manifold for $300 shipped? Honestly sounds to me like you got ripped: https://www.hondapartsdeals.co...+0301

No i got the whole package, shown above. The manifold itself I believe is around 160 shipped.

And the stock SRI intake will not fit without modding, and that is why I made a custom intake and relocated the battery. I like the custom intake better than the SRI anyways.

get Kpro or some cams because that mod will give you minimal gains without any supporting mods

K-pro is on the way, as for cams I am still researching which ones I want to get.

As for the battery relocation, I made my own. I used 2 gauge speaker wire for the Power cable. bought all the battery connectors at Advance auto parts, not sure what parts places you have where you live, and I bought a battery box. It basically relocates like any other battery relocation, I am sure there are battery relocation write ups on Honda-tech somewhere.... This weekend I might Make a write up for it, I might be bored.

haha looking forward to that write up. what do you plan on doing to your car? going all motor? F/I? that can help determine which cams to get.

Basically I am sticking to all motor on the RSX, I have another car I am boosting, a b16 coupe, I love the N/A sound of the K20. I have been looking at the IPS cams I have seen real good things from them. Just need the cash LOL... Got to work some more overtime. But yeah I will try to put together a write up....

Please take off the old intake box bracket from the tranny. Looks rediculous sticking up back there.

There are 3 bolts on the backside of it and it will come right off.

Ok, but if you're running a CAI, the battery can stay where it is, right?

lots of battery relocates write ups on this thread...but if you guys really need RSX-specifics then wait for this guy's write up.

i'm just curious where he mounted it and what box he used (100% sealed)

very quickly though, i used a battery post to a 4 ga wire along the driver side fender, through the hole to interior, along driver side door sill, to passenger side along the rear foot area, then to the rear to the battery. battery stay is the stock unit w/ 2 bolts going through chassis.

I used a air die grinder with a cut off wheel on it, It went right thru like hot knife thru butter. I work in a shop so I have basically any tools at my disposal.
