doubt it, you also gots to look at the month which i believe its the last circle.correct me if im wrong on that one.....and it looks like it 06 for month since there is no 90th month...so the head is from a 98 car....if he head was cast in december, then yes, it would be for a 99 car...sometime even november cast would be use on the upcoming year....

No you're thinking wrong.

if its casted in dec of 98... it goes on the car won't be in the car and on the sales lot for atleast 4months after its production date.

If you've purchased a new car before you'll know that its always released aug/nov of the previous year.. I.E. release date of aug/nov of 98 is a 99 car.

So if its casted 06 of 98.. its gonna be on the lot ready for sale in 98 aug/nov but will be badged as a 99 car. Get it?

I've been working in the automotive industry for a while now.

no number after the B16A code = JDM.

Also, you should take into the limited number of 1998 b16's and take into account their highest production years from 1999-2000 in the civic si.

The number UNDER the B16A tells the year. "5" indicates 5th year of production. B16 production began in 1989. 1989 + 5 years comes up with 1993.
