I feel your pain...just a few weeks ago too, I was too lazy to unload my gear from my trailer after racing and the motherf*&^rs broke in my trailer and stole a bunch of stuff that night...in front of my house. Sparco helmet, suit, tools (snap on), DeWalt drill etc...

Anyway, I'll keep my eyes open...

Sorry to hear this Casey, I feel your pain. I had the same thing happen to me this time last year.
Everything... Helmet, Suit, Gloves, Shoes, Hans device, Fireproof underwear, socks etc. stolen out of my truck while it was parked outside my shop.... And we were in the shop working at the time!
The huge financial loss is one thing, I just could not get over the feeling of personal violation. Why??? What are these ******** going to do with the stuff? They can't sell it, at least not without running the risk of getting caught with stollen goods, as we all play in a fairly tight circle. What pisses me off most is the gear is probably in a dumpster, or the morons don't even know what they have.

I think the Motorsport community would be well served if we all kept an eye out for this type of gear being sold on the internet or various forums... Check them out... You never know the stuff being offered might be your own! or you might be instrumental in recovering some other racers gear and putting these ******** where they belong!
Good luck

Kiwi

Thanks guys for the support, it's appreciated.

Hey Dave I was out there all day saturday I'm just kind of quiet except with the people I know. Usually I can be indentified as the spikey haired kid with the camera, hopefully this year it will be the spikey haired kid in HPDE

Theft insurance would have covered the car and maybe the wheels, that's about it. I didn't have theft insurance on a car valued at 3000.00 just didn't seem necessarry.

Next time I'm going to pay the fat lazy old man security gaurd to sit on my car all night

Man, sorry to hear that, that sucks.

I don't think I've been as paranoid as I am now after buying this civic. I practically stayed up all night at the hotel when we picked it up watching to make sure nobody nicked the trailer with my new car on it.

Default bummer

Sorry to hear about it.

I always disable my car if it's going to sit in the parking lot.
It doesn't take much -- pull main relay/fuses. Or take the plug wires, etc.
Common alarm installs are just to easy to defeat alone.

I had a CRX stolen, It wasn't worth much, so I didn't cover if for theft either,

Then when I got my current civic, I inquired about theft coverage, and found out that it is actually pretty cheap....it the comprehensive that expensive (the one that covers theft of stuff inside and other losses).

Damn Casey!

Thieves need to be shot, and then hung for good measure.

Terrible news my friend. I hope you can recover quickly from this, but from your list, it might take sometime.

Check with your homeowners/renters insurance if you have any. Should be covered.

Damn, sorry to hear about Casey.

Next time, try pulling out some fuses ( ECU or relay) when parking overnight. I pull them out when I watch movies.

Casey, that is truly sucks. I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me long time ago. Never leave valuables inside the car. Still no excuse, Thieves sucks. We should not worry about leaving our **** inside our own car!
