Where to go for cheap insurance - NYC
Can you guys suggest some companies you have had success with? I have gotten some quotes, the cheapest of which was $896 from this site:
motorcycle.progressive.com/
GEICO wants over 1000.
Any other suggestions?
It's a 03 600RR.

Oh god, please be careful riding in NYC. That has got to be the most dangerous place in the world to ride a motorcycle. Whenever I visit NYC I think how nuts the guys are on bikes. Although I'll say the guys in traffic on bicycles are even more nuts.

if you guys have country insurance out there try them....
Also if you insure your car with statefarm they will also insure your motorcycle.

Thanks for the reply, Kevin.
I'm kind of partial to standalone motorcycle insurance... the cars are under my parents' name and they aren't crazy about switching over.
GEICO gives them good pricing...

call country companies if you have them.. Get a quote on all of the cars in the family plus the bike. I can almost say that it will be lower for all of the cars as long as your parents have a clean record. They claim they have the cheapest rates for people 25 and older. My parents insurance is dirt cheap. They are also not some fly by company. They are very good and well based across the united states. I pay 15$ a month for my bike through them.

Just checked out country... they don't insure New Yorkers
I've heard of a company based in LA, California that insures motorcycles for a good price.
I don't know the name and I can't seem to find it.
Can anyone lend a hand?

I have progressive. MC insurance in NYC is going to be expensive no matter how you slice it, and a RR isnt going to make things any cheaper. When I lived upstate I paid 100/year

check out PSIC/McGraws, I've used them and know quite a few people that still use them. They are usually pretty reasonable. Now I have AAA though.
