Default 5,400 Miles on a used Fit for 17,999 Take home...Input Needed

So a local Honda Dealer has a 07 Sport Blue Fit 5 speed (5,400 Miles), it looks to have no options... the price they are asking is 17,999.00 take home. It includes a warranty extention for 7 years are 100,000..

Do you think its worth it?

My opinion... NO WAY. for that price i can get a brand new one with the optional wheels and carpet mats (based off of Honda.com) My offer is gonna be 16,000 take home with two sets off wheels (15 alloys & 16 Optionals) and the carpet mats.

Loaded as in a "base" Sport Fit? IE: no floor mats, no muffler tip, no accent kit etc...

Extended warranty cost around 1500. M/T are hard to come by so don't expect them to lower the asking price by much. They know someone will buy it if you don't. Most M/T Sport Fit are pre-sold. If you do decide to order new one, expect delivery anywhere from 3-6 month.

Does that also include sales tax? Sales tax on a new Fit will run ~$1000 at least here in GA.

15725 x 1.06 (6% tax) = $16,600 + 750ish for warranty = $17,400.

Dealer is still high, but it all depends on whats it worth to you knowing how hard another 5spd Fit is going to be to find.

Run far, far away. You can pick up a Nissan Versa, Toyota Yaris, or Scion XA for $13k. If you MUST have a Fit, keep looking elsewhere; they can be had for cheaper.

BTW, BRAND SPANKIN' NEW Fit's blue book for around $14-$15k and that one is used, so automatically knock off $1k so its really only worth $13-$14k.

It seems to be a sellers market when it comes to Manual Fits, especially the Sports.

If you can wait for a new one, wait for it. And don't forget the PDI cost on the new one.
