i have an accord 6gen and i want to lower it but im hvaing a problem deciding which springs to use i need help,i heard Goldlines were good and also teins. there's a DETAILED review on the top of the page, look for basic guide and under my name.

here a very basic break down to start your research

goldline=no

tein stech=sagging, alot of fake stuff, one year warranty=

koni=doesnt make spring but their damper is excellent(yellow)

H&R/neuspeed=used to be the same thing but they split up couple years ago, don't go for the low low race spring as they have major chucking issue on some application(6th gen accord being one)

eibach=excellent product, prokit is great with stock damper, decent drop and a tad firmer than stock. sportline is alot lower and you will need damper, camber kit, etc. million miles warranty and no BS customer service.

megan coilover=not really sure, but they are know for copying/reverse engineering from major japanese brand.

Eibach

Had the Prokit springs on my 95 EX, loved the ride and the drop was just right for me.

kool how the h&r springs are good ride and provide and tilt ride, because eibach doesnt have 1.8 in the fron and 1.5 in the rear. Mine is going to be a daily driver mostly on the highway.

If you need to save money buy used Eibachs. They will still have a million mile warranty, and I would trust a used set of Eibachs with 200,000mi on them more than a new set of goldlines any day.

i think the warranty only applies to the original owner/purchaser. not 100% sure though, can someone verify?

for some members, they may remember this picture of my totalled 95 EX.

For those that don't, this is from just after I rearended someone late 2003, I then stripped it and sold most everything and cut up the chassis with a swazall.

So don't mind the front end but this is with Eiback Prokit springs and Tokico blue struts.

I miss that car

I've got a 6th Gen coupe with the pro-kit. Would you like stock wheels, or 18's?

The tilt?? You mean negative camber? That is generally considered a bad thing...

As far as tires go, 225/45/17 should be the correct size for 17" wheels. If you get any larger, you run the risk of rubbing, especially if it's lowered at all.

EDIT AFTER READING AGAIN:

Do you mean a staggered drop, like lower in the front to match the wheel gap?

if you want more meat on your tires step down to 16s. getting bigger tires will throw off your overall gearing, mess up your speed/odometer, and increase risk of rubbing.

It's ok though, I'm getting another Accord soon.

yea thats what i mean a stagger look... cuz some springs come with a 1.75 in the front and 1.5 in rear nice look to it...idk if Eibach as that? okay because i i already ave tires for my accord on the 17s but there are too thin and i dont wanna to all the space between the inside the fender. ill go and read off the tires specs in which the my rims are in so i can tell you...ill get back to you.
