Most fun car to drive (Replacing Type R)
ITR will be sold shortly (can't deal with not being able to drive it anywhere.) Test driven a bunch of new cars in the last week (lastly the WRX, fast, but has a detached feeling from the road that I was not too fond of, plus too toned down. I don't care for sheer performance numbers, more the "pleasure" of driving. What can I replace the ITR with that may not perform as well, but is as much fun to drive? New or used, and not talking exotics, just in the 20K-35K range
$25-30k...
1. Pristine condition E30 M3. Yes, ones in mint condition will yield $20-$30k. Look for ones with EVO parts... those are very, very functional and OE quality.
2. Mazda Miata or MR2 spyder... but, they are convertible.
3. S2000... but, they are convertible.
4. BMW 330is or E36 M3... but, are out of price range unless used a lot.
5. RX7TT... but, will require a rebuild, if everything is original from the factory.
6. GMC syclone or typhoon... but, not exactly meant for handling tight turns.
7. ITR.
I probably forgot some others...

Yeah, Supra TT is an Excellent choice. My good friend Joey Owns one and Ive driven an E36. The Supra TT is probably a better choice because Its a little more reliable being that its a toyota and the car Is So Raw yet So civilized. Id have to say though, driving either one is just an awesome experience

hahah Cosworth, I wasn't talking about the Canadian Peso
Had already converted the min and max of my range to USD!
Plus, why would I sell my ITR to buy another one? for the ITR choice
I don't care about getting a 'better' car, just a car that is as fun. (Ultimate if I could get my hands on it would be a base Lotus Elise which can be had fairly cheap in the UK. I hear the Miata is good, will go test drive one.

Ebboy, I think I low balled myself, I thought I was asking enough for it at 23,900K Canadian (15,000 USD.) Its in the Auto Trader today and someone is already offering a grand over what I want for it. Hmm... should be an interesting week.
You should have no problem selling the R for those prices. You should be able to get $16,000 easy. Your car is sooo beautiful. It actually tempts me because I have wanted a Championship white type R for the longest time.

personally i have driven the s2k, the older m3, and the new s4...my pick would probably be the s2000 due to bang for the buck factor and it's the closest car to the 'fun' factor of the ITR -- only downside is the fact the it is a roadster...not sure if you need a 4 seater or 2. the older m3 was pretty damn tight during it's day, but holds no ground to the new m3. not to mention you'd have to find one in good condition...over here in the bay, it's common to see the m's rolling around although a good 30% could be fakes. the s4 is actually an extremely nice car...but if you turn up the turbo any higher than stck boost, you risk blowing the engine, otherwise you're good to go. i didn't think that i'd lie a roadster but the s2000 changed that for me...best bet is to test drive and get the car that you feel most comfortable with...g'luck man!
E36 M3 or Audi S4

I personally would go for the M3, RWD OWNZ

I've always been partial for the S2000. That is the closest I came to the ITR fun factor (maybe a litlle more) Of course I don't imply that I drove a lot of sports car but...
I would have to drive it first but the new Nissan 350Z might be another choice.
My ultimate choice would be the Porsche 911 TT GT2.

No one has said it here but (I'm not a fan of but) But what about a Mustang conv, Firebird conv, Or a slightly used Vette.
But if your going to stay with an imported car then go with a Honda S2000 in suzuka blue

one thing about going into the turbo category is to make sure you understand the fundamentals behind turbo and how to maintain it, cuz as cool as they (cuz they are) driving turbo is different than n/a. but yeah i'd have to say if you can find one...i'd definitely add that to my list too.

If I had to part with my R this is the way I'd go. All my cars have been two doors and some sort of two wheel drive. With the unpredicatable weather in NJ (and canada I assume) AWD is the way to go IMOP
