TRACTION!! Which Tires Are The BEST For The STREET
I ran about 300whp through my 1st gen 205mm azenis last year and traction sucked, anything above 5k in 1st-3rd was spinning. Even from a roll 3rd would sometimes still spin a good bit.
I was thinking of getting the newer azenis but dont know if they would even be much better. They dont last a hell of a long time but I dont drive the car more than 10k a year anyways
This will be for a daily driven summer Crx. Looking for anything to fit my 15X7 rotas and a 3" drop
How do you guys get traction?
Thanks

generic coilovers and tokiko struts. Going to have traction bars this year
I think azenis are drag radials are they not, if not even better
Fairly soft with a pretty close to slick tread pattern

Dude!!! Azenis are not drag radials. Who swears by them? If you're not making power than they'll work, and last.
I think you already have your mind made up, just like every thread you post.

the best would be bfg drag radials. and i also have azenis rt-615's and there is NO COMPARASON. azenis are good for autocrossing...not drag racing traction.
bfg's are about a 1000 times softer and they also dont last very long at all.

last year i tried running azenis at the track on a LSVTEC making 210hp on the bottle, and they sucked my best 60' was a 2.4... even after a tire frying burnout. but my buddy with 330whp with BFGs was cutting 1.8-1.9 i believe.

Maybe because there's so many other dumbshits like you out there?
Based on the absolutely stupid questions you are always asking, my guess is your ability to search is just as poor as your ability to reason. Far worse than your ability to SCAM people, as you've proven many times.

BS, traction with 500whp in first gear
wheelies in reverse! mickey thompson 235/60/15's, no good for a 3" drop though. gotta jack your suspension all the way up...

dont you mean 16" ?
are you on stock springs and stock ride height? dont you have to jack the suspension up to clear the mt dr's?

theres no choice except for a drag radial. imo though the azenis is one of the best street tires out there. decent traction, good in wet weather, good tire wear, of course any tire wont last long give typical turbo honda conditions.
the drag radials are great for traction but it comes at a cost. i wouldnt daily drive the drag radials, just put them on when i know im gonna beat on it.

no they are 15", and yah skunk2 coilovers all the way up.
but if you're looking for a realistic tire to daily drive on i would reccomend Azenis. They are not going to wear near as fast as any drag radial. I wasted my bfg's in 1200 miles of driving. The Azenis have over 2k miles on them and not showing any wear.
Obviously the Azenis aren't going to hook as good as radials, but they do get better traction than any other non drag radial street tire.

get a real shock/spring or coilover setup before you spend money on traction bars. how are your motor mounts? suspension bushings? don't forget to address these things. traction bars and good tires aren't the complete solution.

235/60/15 with a 1.8 drop

i ran about 320whp on the street all last year. ive had on bfgs 205-50-15. 1st gear was still a waste, but they wouldnt break loose up top in 2nd or 3rd like regular tires would. my other tire is a bfg kdw non radials, and honestly it had a little better traction than i thought it would, ,but still not like a radial.
its also in the tire pressure you run and how you drive, i ran my radials at about 30psi give or take on the street and there was noticeably less traction than the 10 psi at the track
