Road Trip to Orlando to pick up the new R (56k no way)
I finally got a free weekend to head down to Orlando to pick up the new R. A VERY big thanks to Dave_B for letting me park this eye sore at his house until I was able to get it. Thank you also Dave_B for putting me up this weekend and helping put it back together so it would make it home. THere is no way this would have made it home if it wasn't for you and your room mate helping me out. I didn't get any pics of the drinking Saturday night, oh well. After 1091 miles round trip, she's home. Here are the pics:
Outside of Columbia SC heading down I-26

Empty tow dolly

Cruising right along

WTF?!

Is that normal?

Made it to Dave's with his ricer S2k

What's this?

Oh jesus....

Getting ready for Race Wars

Loaded up and ready to take around the block to make sure it's all good.

Is that supposed to there?

The entire front suspension is held together with only cotter pins?!

There's plenty of room getting at this this way

Powered by Dave_B

Like a lost puppy following me home

It hasn't fallen off of the trailer yet

Not as fast on the way home

Somewhere in GA on I-95

She's home!

Next to the wife's Honda

Just a little dirty...

When I got home, I had lost the upper control arm cotter pin on the driver and passanger side. I also noticed that there were no upper bolts holding the rear struts in. Oh well, she made it home and I was able to push it in to the garage (thanks Hoya!) with a little help. What's next?

Yes, it's a 2003 3.4L Tacoma. I have towed my ITR to many events with this truck. When using a heavy flat bed trailer, the gas mileage goes way down (11mpg on he highway). I typically get 18-19mpg on the highway when not towing. With this ITR shell and the tow dolly I got 16.5mpg towing back from FL. The main thing when towing the ITR is braking (extra room required). Make sure the trailer has brakes

Congratulations on the find Brad.
Depending on when I get back to my appartment from Curry's (at the moment), I'll send the Omnis back tonight or tomorrow morning.

Theft recovery from Florida. I bought it a few months ago and just now got a chance to bring it home.
