I dont see how the fuse would have to be pulled if you keep the ignition off, the ECU shouldnt have power nor would the fuelpump, so you could freely just turn the engine without having fuel injected.

i think u have a leak down test confused wiht a compression test if your pulling out the fuse to do a leak down test

And sometimes you have to turn the motor over a bit to close the valves in the cylinder.

true, but since your key will be in the off position, the ECU wont get power, nor will the injectors, so taking out the fuse wouldnt do anything. Plus you probably wont be turning it with the starter either, as its very unprecise, you're gonna turn it from the crank pulley bolt with a spanner.
