First of all i wish i could afford to finish this... Sadly i can't at this time! There is over $10,000 invested into this little project. The original plan was to compete in 2006 season...

The car started as a 1996 Honda Civic coupe.

Here's the run down on what's included and initial investment:

1996 Civic Coupe shell <U>$1500</U>
Full 4130 Tig welded funny car style cage and "back half" <U> $3000</U>
Fiber Images one-piece front <U>$1600</U>
MB fiberglass doors with lexan windows <U>$800</U>
MB fiberglass trunk <U>$350</U>
Kirkey pro drag seat with cover <U> $250</U>

The car is built to run with the big boys. Set-up for wheelie bars and parachute. I have the cable and lever for the chute included.

No expense was spared in the building of this car! If you want to go fast this is the way to go!

How did you put back the stock rear suspension? Looks like it all was cut out. Post some recent pics! Car is for sure a steal for $3k

 

Those are pretty recent pics. The car looks the same. All stock suspension mounting points are in tact. The only thing that was cut out was inner lca mounts. New lca's will have to be fabbed if the buyer plans on running it that way.

 

Perfect for anybody who already has a motor. All you need is to drop something in and you're good with this one. Good luck with the sale.
