Default Best High Flow Cat? (not for the price, just plan best)

Random Technology? Ignoring the pricetag, is this the best choice?

what do you guys think? what have you heard?

i do most of my own work on my car, but i deffinetly dont weld, so the ease of bolting it in myself is a major plus. sure its a lil more expensive than magnaflow, but i dont have to pay someone to install it.

I guess you could say Random Tech is one of the higher end ones. However, Magnaflow is the better of the two because it is cheaper and does exactly what the RT does.

Does your state have emmisions laws? If not, i'd just skip the high flow cat and go straight to the test pipe. Just a thought.

I got my Carsound cat (Magnaflow) with the flanges already welded on it for $105 shipped to me.

The RT cat is a 300 cell. A year or two ago I contacted them to ask if they would let me test one, since I had Jim Justice do a bunch of flow testing of different cats. But they did not respond. Bottom line: theirs is a 300 cell cat which don't flow as well as 200 cell cats.

The Metal Cat above is a 200 cell cat.

I sell 200, 300 and 400 cell cats. Actually my 200 cell cat is rated for 4250 lbs where as the Metal Cat is rated for only 3750 lbs. My 300 cell cats are rated for 6000 lbs and my 400 cell cats are rated for 10,000 lbs. Higher weight rating means it will do a better job in cleaning up the exhaust.

One can buy Magnaflow cats on ebay for cheap all day long, but those are the units/model numbers that I wouldn't/don't use anymore. If you want to use Magnaflow then I would recommend only going with the 93505 (2-1/4"), 93506 (2-1/2") or 93509 (3") model numbers. I've had too many problems with the 94*** series cats burning up their matting and then having the brick come loose and break apart. The 53*** series cats are really just the same as a stock cat with bigger inlets/outlets.

Yes.

I believe the problems that E-Money had were due to different exhaust pieces from other vehicles.
