Trading my R for the upcoming G35 coupe 6-spd, what you think?
In stock form, the G35 coupe handles better than the RSX-S and is faster than the current R (maybe just a little
). Braking distance is almost as short as the S2000. And a price tag just couple thousand more than the R.. Not to mention the good looks, 6-spd, Navi and best of all, lower insurance rate and less headache from the thiefs.[Modified by typeRP, 3:23 AM 5/13/2002]
It's a pretty good looking car, but don't expect it to handle tightly as it weighs several hundreds of pounds more. Also, the fact is that most near-luxury sedans/coupes nowadays will out-accelerate our ITRs. But, I don't really care.
If you're starting a family, I think it's a good car.
If you're buying it for a replacement for your ITR, I think you'll be disappointed (in overall performance package).

Can't compare the 2. Just enjoy driving in a luxury car like common people and enjoy your classical music.
I was looking in that car at the autoshow. All I've got to say is NICE decision. I'm not a huge fan of luxury cruisers but that thing has got some muscle
Stop hating, Ill take the g35. How much does it weigh?
260hp is definitely straight. Almost everyone here modifies their ride anyway
After the bpu, why would someone think they wouldnt enjoy it as much? Its quiet too.

the stupid european asks what the hell is a G35 ????
My question is: is it FF or FR or will there maybe even be an AWD version???
Why don't you just get the 2003 Acura CL Type-S 6speed???? IT too has 260 Hp! and a LSD like our ITR........
telling you guy`s i work for nissan in smyrna tn and we got a hell of alot more than that car up our sleeve . just wait till you see the new hatchback that1s comin and the new max is wild also there is talk of a turbo 4 in the se-r but it will be a hatch
wow thats around 3500lbs. I guess 260hp is only a start though. Bpu then what, 300 flywheel hp maybe? What is it rated 1/4 mile times?
The car is hot period. There arent many new cars that look as good as a 94 teg
This nissan is an exception. Im talking about the coupe.

Did anyone watch the Indy 400 sunday? all the Infinity powered cars were blowing up motors...
Not that their street cars do the same.
And whats the weight diff between the CL T-S and G35 anyway? both have the same power and as for the G35 looking better, Its only an opinon!
And is it possible to put a JRSC on a CL ?

I love the coupe. I've only seen the advertisement in C&D with the tiny pic of the coupe, but those pics above are nice! The only thing I do not like is the goofy shaped steering wheel.
I saw the four door variant at the local auto show. Really a sweet car. The thing that kills me is that damm steering wheel. It looks like it was lifted from an 84 Z, back when Nissan thought it was cool to have talking cars........"your lights are on.....your lights are on......." I was only ten, but she had a sexy voice.
not until I see a twin turbo I6 with AWD will I trade in my R for that car.

I'll consider it, if I needed back seats, but since I don't I think I'll lean toward the 350ZX with it's awsome style and power plant.
