that makes for a much cleaner install in my opinion... those big red bricks of american technology don't match well asthetically with our motors. but on the other hand... the 6 digital looks trick

I have the digital 6 mounted upside down on my strut bar, using a sheet of aluminum. I was concerned about heat, but so far it hasn't given me any problems. It has been on the car for about 5 months.

in car mounting is also nice when you are dealing with severely space limited engine compartments such as those found in ef's & da's...

Mounted it just behind the passenger side headlight.. doesn't really matter though being that it's screwed up..

in the glove box..It's loud but you get used to it..I was worried about the heat too..and the good thing is that it doesn't come thru the radio..which is why it's easy to deal w/..

I have my 6btm..

you want to talk about not having space look inside a typ r eng bay . . . i didnt even have room for the coil . . i managed to squeeze it in front of the abs unit.
the actual ign box is under my passenger side seat and no one sees a thing .
dont put it in the glove box. i was gonna try that , but msd told me that being elnclosed like that will fry it .

I went through all this too.
I took mine out and was going to sell it because I might be having problems with spikes coming back through my power supply into my ecu (I wish I had a portable oscilloscope!).

Anyway, I had mine on my firewall and I was annoyed with the chirping sound it makes.

If I put it back in I am going to take someones previous suggestion and mount it on my bumper but you have to take the front bumper guard off to get there. I will have it off to put my new turbo in anyway but that is the nicest place and far away from the noise they make!

I made a little bracket to bolt into existing threaded holes in my DA. I got my Blaster Coil on there and some room for a 6AL if i get one.

Hmm, stupid imagestation

I mounted mine inside the car. Under the glove box on the floorboard next to my dfi cpu.

inside the car next to the passengers left leg against the carpeted center section.

It looks clean there and not tachy, keeps it out of the weather and isn't in the way of something else in the engine bay... wires stuffed through a grommit under the dash.

itr206: to be honest.....i've never listened to the ignition while on, but i'm pretty sure the LED light simply stays lit up (not clicking for every crank rotation......) What do you mean how to "set up the 2 step?

Default did u have to drill the fire wall?

I mean, like with a tap or something? so the screws can screw in? oh yeah, for those of you who have the ignition inside the car, did you guys have to extend your wires? btw, all of you have nicer and cleaner installs and mounting positions than me..hahaha, i didnt have patience and wanted to get the damn thing on. wires everywher, box is hanging onto my cai. muahaha. yeah, mine does make that noise when it cranks.. like a small chirp chirp noise, led blinks as it cranks too.

It idles with the stock computer just fine, I can even get it up to 3k rpm's. The AEM and the motor/turbo just aren't as compatable! I'm still trying to get it up and running with the AEM, just having some wiring issues since it's a B18A with a '99-'00 harness. Damn car is going to be the death of me. Once I'm done though it should scream or make other people in the car scream. b18tdelsol, what all do you have done to yours? Later Allen
