Default Idle Problems...

Ok I have a B16 swap and when I start it up it idles at 2000k but goes down as it gets warm to a lil below 1000k. It idles fine until I run it for awhile then when I stop it idles above 1000k to 1500k. Why is that ?

Thinking, thinking, thinking. What is the FCCV? Google brings me to The Feline Control Council of Victoria. Pretty sure that is not it, but with the way my car has been idling, I might try throwin a cat or two in there.

He really meant IACV (Idle air control valve) and FITV (Fast Idle Temperature Valve) This is my old throttle body which I replaced with a Spoon TB

Honestly it was listed on eBay in the worst place, so if people were looking for it they couldn't find it. It was like boat motors or something. Regardless it only cost me $150. I've gotten some sweet deals on eBay my friend. I highly recommend checking it once a week for rare parts.

try this

if not, try cleaning your IACV or coolant might have bubbles in it.

let your car get up to operating temperature and unplug the IACV and if the idle drops then you have a problem with the IACV if it stays, then its something else

another honda b16 swap that this fixed the high ide problem for.. i was idleing at 2k and it started yesterday to surge every now and then.. stuck my finger on the hole and high idle goes from 2k cold to 1100.. WOOT!!!! i taped it up.. i will clean it someday.., probably not.. just gonne get an aftermarket intake and tb later on.. hope nothing bad comes from taping it up.. i used clear packing tape.

Alright drive your car around until it gets warm, leave your engine on with the idle going up an down, use a plyer an clamp on the PCV valve hose from your IM if it stops PCV is bad or AIR leak somewhere...
