gutted is gutted.

if the bay is shaved, then shaving the interior would be nice also. looks good though

Looks good if your guttng it for the show aspect. If your gutting for track purposes then it doesn't really matter what it looks like

The other difference is that in one car, the owner failed to mask the wiring, the loom, and the top of the struts.

Whoa that's my old pic of Ben's old hatch... That was before the "tucking" craze... However you can immediately see the difference in the actual paint jobs of the white vs the yellow

Yep. White all over the shocks=

I think the gutted for looks purpose has run it's coarse at this point. Not saying the OP did it for that reason, just saying.
