Default Skunk2 PRO1 H22 DYNO INSIDE!

One of my customers has an h22 swapped Del Sol. The motor was bone stock an he competes pretty regularly in all the local track events.

At the last track event, he mishifted an got some valve noise. He decided to take it down over the winter and build the head.

Previous setup:
STOCK H22 LONGBLOCK (stock intake manifold, stock tb, stock cams)
RSR header
2.5in crush bent exhuast

New Setup:
Stock h22 block
Skunk2 PRO1 Camshafts
Skunk2 Valvesprings and Retainers
Skunk2 Flat Faced Valves
RSR header
2.5in crush bent exhaust.

Got a chance to dyno it last night, this was a quick tune, as he didnt have the funds to tune it for along amount of time. But the gains were impresseive to say the least. He is gonna enjoy it, and bring it back in march to see if we can crack 200whp which im sure its more than capable of.

BLUE=OLD SETUP
RED=NEW SETUP WITH SKUNK2 PRO1 CAMSHAFTS

As you can see, the new cams dominate EVERYWHERE in the powerband, as much as 28-30whp in some spots.

We will switch headers im sure by next year. but i thought this was great info for you H22 guys with stock bottom ends.

FYIur dyno is VERY CONSERVATIVE, its very rare to make over 200whp on our dyno. most stock h22s with i/h/e make between 165whp-175whp.

Stock T-Body?

Good numbers through a tail pipe, I bet it would hit 205+ retuned open header.

crome uberdata?

When he comes back to your shop, please take a close look at the cam lobes and rocker pads. I hope everything looks fine. I'm interested in any abnormal wear with the cams and/or valve springs.

Those numbers are very impressive especially the power under the curve. Did he have an intake?

Is that proven that you would gain that much ? Because on my car it felt like i lost power (butt dyno).

So was the baseline dyno done after the motor had bent valves or while it was still healthy?

Was any porting done in the head? What is the c/r with the flat faced valves? Was the head shaved any? Sorry for so many questions but I'm in the market for cams and the Pro1's are on my list of possibilities.

baseline was about 2-3 months ago. the motor was healthy then, this is a real world gain, no bullshit.

i couldnt believe it myself, ive never seen cams pick up that much power.

He wanted to port the head, but i decided to spend that money on a new timing belt, water pump , and the auto to manual tensioner conversion for safety head is STOCK as far as porting goes, and i believe the valves are maybe a .2 bump in compression.

Head is not milled, NO CAM GEAR ADJUSTMENTS as he has stock cam gears. Stock Intake Manifold, stock TB.

He is most definetly happy. Before we dynoed it, i was going to be happy with 185whp.

TQ might be a little low due to the header, and the fact taht it has stock timing in it . there is still more power left in it. Open header, with a little more tuning an i bet it breaks 200whp easily.
