I didn`t think the corner lights were blinkers, just the bumper light. The two corner light bulbs are just running lights. That`s what i thought.

^^ your wrong, i think they both function as parking lights, and one is a blinker. my ebay ones also came with both holes for both lights

Absolutely correct. Both lights serve as parking lights, the ones on the sides will blink when the turn signal is on. You probably are looking at the wrong lights.

88-89: corner lights are blinkers.
90-91: bumber lights are blinkers.

Hmmmmmm.... my side corner lights blink as well on my '90. Maybe it's different for our neighbors to the north.

Buy the cheapest clear lights you can find, and paint them. I did it for under 10bucks shipped and the paint was like 6bucks and you get it from walmart. PM me and I'll tell you how, or you can search.

well, both of my civics (91, and 89) only use the bumper lights as signals, the corner lights are running lights.

I got mine from password and they look real nice. Make sure to ask for the usdm front end ones because I think by default they send the ones for the jdm front. It's probably cheaper to get the ebay ones however I think mine were around thirty shipped.

Wait a min, I thought the corner lights for the USDM and JDM were completely the same?

They might be but Password specifically asked me if it was for the jdm or usdm front end so I would assume that means they are different.

Not true. All years (for USDM anyway) have blinkers on the amber part of the corner lens, as well as the bumper lens. The bumper lenses are clear in 90-91, and are amber for 88-89. When the headlights are on, both bulbs in the corner lights light up. When the signal is on, the bumper lights and the turn lights on the corner lights flash alternatingly.
