Default POLL: real HID systems! You choose!

so...out of these 3, which would you pick, and why?

i've heard some things about phillips kit, k2 kits, vision kits, and other hella/phillips generic kits...

I know most of you may be prone to say phillips genuine all the way...but i really is there a difference in quality or are you just paying for the name?

(all 6000k)

My freind has a HID kit made buy Lightformz and it cost $400 + SHipping and that is wholesale cost...They look very nice. I love real HID's. Also, it is the 6000k series for the H4.

McCulloch makes a new HID kit. It is really nice, and there is like a 20 second show when you turn them on. They flicker on for a second, than go from blue to white and get brighter and brighter. They are really nice, and the ballast is extremely small. The ballast also has extended adapters, so you can mount the ballast in more places. It is a really nice kit overall.

all OEM hid's have that "FLICKER" mine's are off a bmw.. and my **** flickers and turn blue then to white as it warms up.. the flicker is what the iginitor does.. the older hid's is ballast only.. where is just powers the light and takes forever to warm up.. iginotr goes between the ballast to the bulb.. it zaps ur bulbs with a lot of juice in the intiial turnon and warms them up quicker.. mcculcgh isn't a bad company at all.. they are one of the better cheap companies.. next up is phillips then bell of.. any taiwain brand(focuz, key lux, and others) suck.. they suck because of quality.... it isn;t that great.. jst be careful.. u dont wanna spend a few hundred and have it go down the tubes in a few months.. be careful.. very carefull.. i rather pay more... get the phillips.

i just hooked up HIDs off an audi A6 on my EG. It was simple & easy. & a friend is hooking up some off a CL(if i remember correctly)on his DC2. He said it was easy as 1.2.3. He got his for $125 at the wrecking yard, I got mine free(i do bodywork, & i replaced them w/ new ones).

The ones off of the AUDI A6 are be HELLA.

I got my kit from:

http://www.xenondepot.com

I paid $550 through a group but that they had set up.
They are usually willing to participate in group buys - depending on how many people are in.

In terms of cops, Abosolutely no problem. The kits has a proper beam pattern so that the light doesnt go all over the place blinding people.

Regards
