rmf and smsp header question
ive been going back and forth on these two headers for a little bit now, i just have one question. im worried about it cracking over the long run, due to it not having a flex pipe. just curious if anyone has put one in after the header or had any problems with cracking at all.. i just dont wanna pay a g for a really good header and then down the road the wear an tear on it from the motor vibrating and such causes it to crack...

That's right for any with a 2-1/2" collector outlet. If it has a 3" outlet then we go with a flex pipe since I haven't found a donut and flange set up. BTW, I've never had a H series header crack.

I got your flex pipes right here!!!
I remember reading in a mag that Hytech uses some kind of nascar designs in their headder. Something that aids scavenging. Suposedly patented and everything. Has anyone else heard that?
Oh, and I'm sticking with my user name for a good while. I like it, and I think it's memorable.

they are called anti-reversion chambers. And some people show disbelief in anti-reversion chambers because exhaust pulse reversion can be used to "pull" the exhaust once the exhaust valve opens. This is all assuming that you can time the reversion pulse correctly.
So...does that mean it keeps it from sending the negative pulse? I thought the name of the game was to take advantage of it? Maybe I misunderstood.

Jim Fueling has the design patent on the AR chamber. NASCAR doesn't use them. They work for low rpm engines.
