All motor guys . what clutch???
looking in the 230whp range 160tq range for a b series . car will see the street , drag and road course and see constant beating . what should i get? my exedy clutch didnt last too long.
Been running Exedy stg3. It is a sprung, 3puck clutch. Dozens of drag passes, ~30hrs on the track, and 15k miles of street use.
We also use this clutch on our 270whp B powered street car.

It has a solid disc. It is a myth and misconception that sprung hubs absorb shock. The springs main purpose in the disc is to break or pop out and they make the disc heavy which ***** up your syncros on high rpm shifts. Ask yourself what happens when the springs are compressed solid, do you then have a solid disc.
Organic discs are time bombs. The question is not if but when they will go.

im sporting a act HDSS, couldnt have gotten a better clutch, never stops grabbing no matter how much abuse I put it through. Lots of drag, one season of auto-x, and 30k miles, still catching hard.

I'm gonna do the Action. Rocket did a huge comparrisson with all the "big name" clutch companies and the Action came out on top. DO NOT DO SPEC, I had one grenade on my during a 1-2 shift at 9k....put a muhfuckin hole in my case, and yes it was installed properly. They warrantied it for me, but I still do not trust them.
