ALL RIGHT MY PRELUDE PALS:

SO I was on Ebay buying stupid shizzles...and I got bored. So I thought of making an Epoxy Decal for my car. This is very simple to do if you're bored.
Here it is:

1. You will need: a Decal (either a brand you like OR design one Like I DID)
2. Max FCR - Epoxy Resin and Hardener. (EBAY) $20 or so.
3. Double Sided Foam (mounting Tape)

A simple Decal with a square, rectangular, or trangle shape would be perfect.
(EX: like Spoon, Advan, ETC) Or your own Design.

1. Decal: of your choice. (i had a friend made this for me)




2. Place your Decal on piece of carboard or just a piece of construction paper.

3. Foam tape: mounting tape: ($.99 cent store) I got 2 rolls for a $BUCK!
You put the foam tape around the Perimeter of your decal. Creating a Wall for the Resin. YOu can make it as thick as you like by stacking 2-3-4 layers of foam I used 1 piece layer only and it came out :::::: 3 millimeter thick.




4. MAX FCR (epoxy casting resin) YOU CAN ALSO BUY those 5 minute Mini Epoxy Resin Kits for like $5-6 at HOMEDEPOT Will work also.








5. Fill decal with epoxy resin.

6. Wait 24 hours or so....(depending on which resin you buy) SOme cure..in a few hours.

7. DONE. CUT to size....Peel and enjoy.










I just finished making my Power Antenna BLOCK off plate.....For my LUDE

I just cut a few layers of Polyester..from a back pack strap and layed them together..poured the Epoxy resin over it..Looks pretty nice..for first try. Still gotta buff it out. TOOK me like 10 mins to make both the Decal and Block plate. Just took a nap and they were done..next day.

 

I don't really get the idea...

I guess you get an A for creativity, but you sure do seem to be bored alot. and whats up with the pics being really blurry?

even though epoxy decals arent my fancy, you do some useful stuff, thanks for adding this to our forum

you oughta try to polish that plug up with some poly or something, good job on it though

Yeah, For real. I am passionate sometimes. I will type in lower case now to limit confusion.

Well you can ADD UP TO : 50 horsepower. Depending on the decals you choose.

And Garrett or Rev Hard Decal will be most efficient.


This would be for Physical Appearance usage. I don't know..but you can Do a lot with these Resins..

(The Antenna Plug) is useful. (if your antenna died like mines did, and you dont wonna buy a new one) The decal is just for Boredom i guess.

I had a legitimit question...no need to get childish. I just really didn't see the point of these things, but I guess 10 bucks could be spent in a worse way...

Here the antenna PLUG. ITs the OEM RUBBER seal from the Antenna..and I JUST USED Polyester....and EXPOSY RESIN to fill the hole. Hole...Not "HO" like MATT"
