No, you wouldn't see any benefit.

Well after reading the article from Type X, It noted that you CANNOT over octane an automobile. So I will prob go ahead and put the 100 in it and if it helps it helps, if not oh well. Thanks for the input

I wonder where I could find 100 octane unleaded fuel in California? Sure can't get it at Chevron.

Anyone know? Is this something I could get from my race mechanics? The article mentioned AV fuel, but that is leaded. Anyone know if airports sell higher octane unleaded fuels?

If I have the Comptech Supercharger installed, I am assuming I can still run the "weak" 91 oct premium we have in CA. But running 100 Oct from time to time might be fun.

I paid $4.99 for 100 octane at Chevron here in Fort Mill, SC, right near Charlotte NC where I live.

I have pumped it over in Los Banos, when I go and visit my parents, there is a 76 gas station there on your right hand side going East on 152, they have 100 Octane at the pump. I pumped 10 gallons one time, not cheap it was like 7.50 a gallon, it was fun pumping it, but that's about it. I surely did not feel anything different (Never will I do that again) now if it was Turbo well now that's a different story. Save your money don't do it.

Thanks for the info.

Wow, $7.50 a gallon. Let's see, a tank of gas would be around $85.00. Hmmm, might have to take a drive over there after I get the SC installed. It's only about an hour from my home. I got to try it at least once.

Reminds me of filling up my boat. 160 gallon gas tank in that puppy. I sold it when gas hit $5.00 a gallon on the water.

You can get it only at certain 76 stations. There's one a few miles away from my house that has 100+ octane at the pump and it's damn expensive. I like to use it on track days..

It smells so good...

i wouldlnt put it in your brand new car cause you wont benefit from it. The higher the octane the slower the burn.. your just gonna burn **** out over time.. higher octane dont mean shitt

with higher octane, it makes your car rev faster but also make it run hotter. octane 100 is leaded gas and thats not good for your 02 sensors

There is leaded and unleaded. Leaded is illegal for street use. Read the links above.

Using LEADED FUEL on a car that has a Catalytic Converter is bad. You will burn up the inside of the CATALYTIC.

Uh, not all Octane 100 gas is leaded. And yes, using leaded fuel in your Si would be a very bad idea.

basically, you are looking at spending money on something that wont give any bebefit but might cause some harm. even if it did help, if you have to do something like this to beat your friend's car, it means your car just isn't that fast to begin with ;0
