Ok for the past weekend I have been thinking about how i would go about doing this upgrade. I want steel braided hoses. What would I need to do to do this? I would need to weld on the threads to the thermastat housings and to my rad.?? I use a fluidyne rad. What do you guys think? Who can help me do this is so cal??'
Show me ur setups and any advice would be great. Thank you -- alex

save your money the stainless braided lines that large are to stiff and there is to much engine movement and vibration. You will have trouble with the fittings welded to the rad cracking and ripping out there is no 18
if your just trying to clean up the engine bay autozone has these kits

yep, ive paid at least that already and i dont even have all mine....however they are for a diesel engine thats going in my scout.....not to mention the ones you see with the gold fittings are teflon lines for the fuel so i can use biodiesel as well as regular diesel

The fittings are the most expensive part, I didn't skimp on anything on my car. I had everything machined to my spec and such. I think I probably had around $300 for the hose and fttings, the -16 plugs we machined to make the bungs and the welding.

i ordered 3- 45 degree -16 AN fittings, 1- straight -16 fitting, 4 male -16 bungs and 6ft of -16 line. Came out t0 277.77 and 299.53 shipped. Recieved it all yesterday. I was just over looking it all and the hoses looks too small? I was thinking about maybe jsut doing -20??

they are much more functional, well you cant take the radiator hose off with pliers anymore
, but that is not functional to me. there will be less leaks, the lines can take more abuse, plus they look better, but that is just icing on the cake really
