There caps cause im pissed off LOL. i just spent the entire day working on this baby, changed the oil, fixed my charge pipes that were messed up, tapped my elbow in the charge pipe for boost fittings so my wastegate will open at the set psi and not boost creep like a **** and so my boost controller would work, re did my coolant lines for the turbo, changed the radiator out, changed the thermostat. tons of **** and now i cant even go out and enjoy it because the damn cdi is dead

Well this sure is an interesting way of getting help from a company rather than calling AEM or going on their forum...

Their CDI's are notorious for burning up......did they ever release a new CDI that is not problematic?

as far as i know yes, they renamed it from the C2DI to twin fire ignition but basically thats teh new version of the old C2DI. hopefully they will honor this thing and give me the updated version. cause if not i know i cant afford a new dizzy or a new cdi box rigth now

What's up with aem electronics...???
Issues with EMS, recal on injector drivers, issues with C2di.

Damn...I mean do extensive testing before releasing them.
Or fire the whole electronics development department. LOL

Well, put a the dizzy from my daily onto my hatch to see if could at least get it running, burp the cooling system, make sure the injector driver is working etc....

Fire it up and ther eis a very apparent misfire and my uego is pegged lean. So i start troubleshooting, check all my wiring, then start pulling plug wires one at a time. cylinder number two is completely dead. pull all the plugs and cylinder 2 plug is boen dry and with lean burn look to it. smoke coming out of cylinder 2 and no others.

So i guess the new injector driver is no good because this wasnt an issue before and now cylinder 2 had no fuel, so hopefully they will fix this one too. whats another 2 weeks of down time right

I have read and heard the twin fire is just as bad as the original CDI2 unit in terms of reliability. I love my AEM EMS, but their accessories seem to be just garbage. They are worse than MSD LOL.

The only product electronic wise that is worth a **** from them seems to be the EMS, Wideband, Boost Controller, and Boost Solenoid. Their ignition driver, and ignition module

the injector driver has 10 channels... that means you have 6 more tries. i have installed a ton of twin fires and ahvent had a single failure, as well as several injector drivers w/o issue

wtf are you people doing to this mess... i must be really fn lucky cause i dont see anywhere close to the number of failures you guys talk about. hell 80% of my local customers have over 20k miles on all their aem stuff w/o any problems. the rest just suck at life and never drive their car.
