Default My new hatch(W/ pics), couple of questions

It's been a long time since I have posted on here, since I haven't had anything worthy of posting. I bought a new hatch last week and finally got some pics with the small amount of work I did to it...

Seats stolen from my old 89 si(seat pan swap=annoying)

Now onto the damage...

Questions I have...
1. When I went to swap my seats, they didnt bolt up, so I did a seat pan swap... Did I miss something, because it doesnt seem like you would have to do a seat pan swap from an 89 - 91.... honda must just be cool like that.

2. Is this interior rare? I have never seen red/gray black in a hatch. Just the black and gray.

3. What should I do to keep my rear quarters from rusting. This winter I am forced to drive it, and in ND, rust free hatchs are impossible to find, so I want to keep this one clean.

4. Anything I can do to the drivers door to fix that fading beside repainting it?

5. Should I try to revive my air conditioning? I know its a hard option to find, but it doesn't work and I like a clean bay...

Thanks for your input, I tryed to post this in Appearance/cosmetic but it didn't let me. If this doesnt belong here, I understand, so mods, deal with it accordingly.

Your bay looks really clean! Good work! You should revive your A/C, I know it gets super hot there during the summer. I had mine out for 2 years and put it back in this summer cause I couldn't bear the heat (and I know it's waaaaaaaay hotter in summer there than in WI). Rust doesn't look bad, just sand it down and use some POR-15 on that ****. I'd suggest using it on the rear quearters as well, followed with a coat of rubberized undercoating or black paint, this has kept mine in decent condition after I repaired them last summer, only a few little rust bubbles came through after winter. And for the seats, I believe that color came in the 88-89 Si's, the 90-91 versions came with grey / black interior.

I used to detail for SLD here in Fargo, so it wasn't much to clean The bay up a bit. I only have about 5 minutes into it. The cruise control is an aftermarket unit, So I think I am taking it out later today.

Looks like a good start, 88-89 differs from 90-91, and in my area (Bay Area), that interior is rare. I haven't seen another 88-91 Hatch with it (other than mine at least).

Any idea where the shift boot came from? I've been looking for a black leather with red stitch boot for a while, and only seem to find those velvety like boots....

Nice car too! I'd love to find something like that so I have something to drive while working on my rex, instead of the gas guzzling ram!

It's actually a ctr shift boot. I had it on my EK, and then just switched over that metal square that comes with it to the stock one out of the EF.

This man is right. Except in hatches there was no 88 Si. 89 was the first year. I have 89 Si Seats in my 88 DX.

Oh btw OP nice hatch. Looks great!

Keep the A/C, and cruse controll. That is some rare ****.

The fading on the door can be helped if you have some one do some wet sanding, talk to SLD. lol

Get your wheels on that POS asap!

Bryce(Lank or die) Came over to see it the first day i got it. We both thought it was OEM, but I recently found out it was aftermarket. I think that he probably skipped through the whole thread and didn't read it.

CRXBart, Thanks for the compliment man... I Have been watching your thread forever and am really impressed! I am thinking about doing an F20B, but a lot of people have been trying to talk me out of it. I just want to do something different with it...
