Looking through the archives, doesn't appear there are many good longstanding threads about rims with anodized lips

so please post em....factory finished or spray canned

Not really, just kind of walked in and he gave me a good deal... three day turn around too.

sweet! Few questions if I may...

-I'm assuming you used the duplicolor anodized spray paint for the lips...and if so, were the lips of the rims already polished and did you apply the paint directly to the lips, or did you use the duplicolor anodized base coat as well? (directions say you can apply the color coat directly to a polished surface)

-how durable is the paint, and did you clearcoat it?

-do you have any close-up pics?

i used krylon, just cleaned the surface and sprayed, no clear coat which was dumb of me, i been planning to do a clear on it, but havent gotten around to it, just make sure u clear it when your done. it will chip if u dont clear, i need to go back and redo them

Thanks for the info man. I'm sorry when I said Duplicolor, I did mean Krylon. So how close do you think the paint comes to 'looking' like real anodized products?

Do you have any closeup pics of the lips?

so only 2 people on this site have anodized lips


What do ya'll think if I anodize the lips on my ER01's red, and leave the spokes polished?

if u go to the duplicolor website they have the annodized spray paint and they also have a lil "How to" video on how to apply it and it shows how it comes out...let me see if i can get u the link to it...
