Default Custom CAI made from Accord intake (on a 98 CRV) *PICS ADDED*

I apolgize for not taking a pic of the completed unit but it was raining and i had to throw the bumper back on.
Anyways, I picked up a CAI for a 98+ Accord (2.5" piping). I cut it where shown then used a 90 piece of piping i had in the garage. I picked up a rubber connector and joined the two pipes. Fit fine. Filter sits horizontally right behind bumper.

The spot i cut the accord intake is right where the piping goes down into the fender. This was done to fit a 98 CRV.

Heres a pic of where I cut the intake.

Here are the pics.
You can barely see the filter in the last pic but its there (sorry, didnt take bumper off again). Like i said, i cut the Accord piping and added a 90deg piece of pipe and the filter sits horizontally.

The 99 IM is much lower right? The problem i had with the Accord intake was at the angle required the piping was pushing against the fender once installed so I couldnt get a filter on there. I think it may work with yours (will still need to be cut) but youll have to add a straight piece leading into the fender well then either put your filter on there or a 90 piece and mount filter like i did.
Reason I grabbed that Accord intake was cause it was $20 shipped new and included everything. Couldnt pass that up.
